I've been on a bit of a break.
For the past few weeks I've had some "painters block".
It happens.
I think I'm back on track.

I have been wanting to paint pirate kitties for a while now - after seeing the cats on Ocrakoke Island, I was inspired. This is the first - he's named after the mythical pirate in "The Princess Bride" (one of my favorite movies).

This is Gus. He belongs to a good friend. Every time I would go to her house, Gus would most likely be sitting on the sofa and I would sit next to him. Unlike most cats that would run away to some dark room in the back of the house at the sight of an intruder, he would stay and let me pet him and just sit quietly - nothing seemed to bother him and always seemed deep in thought.
He was a cool cat and will be missed.
