For the past two weeks Chumley has been extremely sick. It started with a tooth infection and then an everything infection. The vet ended up doing emergency surgery which was a success, removing four teeth including both of his large top molars without damaging his jaw. He is still recovering with an ear infection and an abscess where one of the teeth were removed, but he's eating, taking his meds and getting stronger everyday.
This is a painting of Chumley from a photo I took a while back - I've always loved the color under his jaw - the way it blends into white, ochre and then black.
Hi Clair, I’m so glad your pup is on the upswing. Katey is going to get her Pup with the Pearl Earring necklace early so she can enjoy it before Christmas. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and Chumley continues to heal well. Sincerely, Ellen
