Landscape Challenge #19 & #20

#20
"Moody Marsh"
12" x 4"
oil on canvas

#19
"Wild Horses"
10" x 8"
oil on acrylic

The wild horses are an experiment. I had heard of people painting on acrylic and wanted to try it. The surface is too slick and "cold" for me. My favorite surface is wood - it's warm and has just the right amount of "tooth". One day I'll try copper - I heard that's a good surface to work with, but seeing how I like a little "grab" to the surface, I'm guessing copper won't like that either.

The marsh painting is done in the Zorn palette using only, ochre, cadmium, black and white.
It's so moody.

Busy, Busy!!!

Hydrangeas and Fruit

Grassy Marsh
8" x 10"
oil on gesso panel

Life has been crazy busy lately. Between, painting, marketing and yes, you heard it people, selling art, I barely have time to do anything else. Lately, I have been hitting marketing hard on Etsy, Twitter, Facebook, and any place that'll have me and it has paid off!! I have seen a bump in sales like I have never seen before. Finally!!

Hope everyone is having a nice summer and not too hot, too wet or too dry. :)
